Faith
Dear Believer,
My prayer is that you would be encouraged in the Lord today.
May He continue to bless you and keep you in these trying times.
Father, I ask that you would bring a peace and a stillness over the mind of whoever is reading this so that You will be glorified and You will be magnified. You are Holy and You are Worthy! God we praise you and bless your name forever more. Help us hear what you would have to say, in Jesus name.
Amen

Wait on the Lord, let Him reveal His word to you.
Psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord

As believers & followers of Christ, most of us use the word ‘Faith’ on a daily basis without fully understanding what we are saying. By not understanding what we are really saying, we miss out on the full potential of Gods power in our lives.

God’s word gives us a pretty plain and straightforward definition of Faith. Yet it has a profound meaning only to be understood with the help and revelation of the Holy Spirit.

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Heb 11:1-2

We see in this verse that Faith contains two forms of identification. “Substance” and “Evidence”; meaning Faith is NOT blind! Wait, what?!
You mean that my Faith in Christ is not based on a fairy tale!?
That is exactly what I’m saying. You see our Faith includes reality and evidence.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for”

In order to know what we hope for then we must begin to look at what we know. We know for a fact that at a specific time a human is created, born, grows up, gets old, dies. We know this because we see this in labs, in science, and in nature itself. Life becomes apparent, then death. So as we live out this existence within reality we begin to form fundamental and foundational opinions from our experiences. We learn what pain is by knowing what joy is, we learn what love is by knowing rejection, we learn what is good from knowing bad (both morally and psychologically). So we are able to create a list of things we want and things we don’t want. When Christ Jesus came to the earth He promised to give us the things we hope for! But He didn’t just tell us, He showed us. He Himself died on a cross, paid the eternal debt we owe, for our sin, so we may be restored in His righteousness. But He didn’t stop there, He rose from the dead three days later, meaning He defeated death, hell, and the grave. He told us and exemplified what we hope for by defeating the things we ‘don’t’ hope for.

So He is Substance of the things we hope for!

Now the second part: “The evidence of things not seen”

What does He give that is ‘not seen’?
To those who accept Him, He gives salvation, redemption, and righteousness. But we are unable to see these with a naked eye. You cannot physically see any of these things that Christ gives us. So how exactly do these unseen gifts become visible?

Through the way we live our lives! By our fruits!
Matthew 7:15-20
(V. 20)
“By their fruits you will know them”

Faith is not blind, nor is it hidden. The substance of our faith is Jesus Christ. The evidence, of the substance of Faith in our lives, is the fruit of the spirit!

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭

Jesus Christ is the Author & Finisher of our Faith!

FAITH IS A WAY OF LIFE!
Because faith in itself exemplifies Christ Jesus

Let us be more than just a people who talk about Christ, Faith, Hope, Love, etc. but let us LIVE IT!

It’s time for the remnant to stand up! It’s time for us as believers, in Christ, to rise up in who God has called us to be!
Let your Faith be stirred!
Rise Church, Arise!

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬

Quick note:
In the Old Testament we see on numerous occasions, and in over 50 scripture verses, a prophecy of a Savior coming to the world. Then in the New Testament the prophecy is fulfilled by Jesus Christ; who also prophecies that He is coming back again someday to receive us for all eternity to be in the presence of God! Both the Faith of the OT and the NT are from God, and exemplified through the lives of those who trusted God!
